Our Weekend

Friday we had big plans to go see and have 'tea' with the Rose Queen. Delanie was so excited. I picked her and a friend of hers up from school on Friday and all we had to do was change them into their frilly dresses and we would be on our way. Well the day took a turn for the worse when I picked Delanie up from school and she proudly announced her 'Orange Bear' that she got at school. **Note: Orange Bear is a behavior card, You start on green everyday, you get warnings throughout the day if you are not minding or not listening etc. If you continue to misbehave then you move to yellow, then after yellow is orange, then red. If you get red you go to the principal's office. Anyway, Delanie got Orange, so essentially she got 2 behavior cards pulled on Friday.** Long Story short, she didn't act like she had a care in the world that her behavior was so poor on Friday. I immediately told her we were no going to see the Queen, she didn't care, not right away anyway. So we stopped by her mother's work to speak with her mother regarding the behavior, went to drop her friend off at her house, and headed home. Her and her daddy hashed out some additional punishments. Later she asked if we could go see the queen next time she gets a green bear. I told her that Friday was the only day to see the queen and when she got a green bear it would be too late b/c the queen would be gone. She started to cry. She was really upset that we didn't get to go see her. We hope this behavior gets better soon....

When we got home we packed up the car and headed to Rhome to spend the night with Bud's mother and take family pictures on Saturday in Denton. We got stuck in traffic and it took us over 3 hours to get to his mom's house, when it should only take close to 2 hours. We were not in a very good mood when we got there.

Saturday morning we got up bright and early to have breakfast with his mother and head to the mall to take family pictures. (Us, Bud's sisters and their families, and his mother) Our appointment was at 11am and we pulled out of the parking lot at 3:30pm to head home. We ate lunch during that time.

We were excited to get home last night. A friend of our came over and visited for a bit. Today we have just hung around the house cleaning and resting. Bud is working on a big yummy dinner...Steaks, Mashed Potatoes and Apple Cobbler...well I am helping with the mashed potatoes and apple cobbler.
